Good question! Over the last six years I've developed an effective, hands-off approach to assess and identify the majority of injuries that climbers present with. Where there are exceptions, we will make a plan to help clarify matters, for example seeing me in person and/or via the use of imaging (through me or another provider).

For acute trauma (e.g. If you've heard a pop in your finger whilst climbing) I would recommend you see me in person to accurately diagnose the extent of the injury.

No, I spend as much time working with people from other walks of life (for example, musicians, runners and fighters) as I do with climbers. Most of my remote calls are with climbers but I also work with anyone who can benefit from remote physiotherapy.

Yes, I do. I have a clinic in Dorset, where I treat both climbers and other patients with a wide range of musculo-skeletal needs.

Yes, I regularly do pop-up clinics in both of these locations. I may be able to offer a clinic elsewhere on request. Please do get in touch to discuss this further.

This varies depending on your personal situation, so I will always recommend specific equipment to you ahead of your appointment (for example, adjustable dumbbells, a lifting edge/finger board and a mat). Please note, none of this equipment is essential for the call to be a success.

Yes, within 2 working days of our call, I will email you a summary of our discussion accompanied by a full rehab plan, with videos to demonstrate each exercise (via the platform Rehab Guru).

It is important to me that your rehab plan makes sense and that you are comfortable and clear with what you need to do to address your issue. I therefore welcome any questions within the first two weeks of receiving your rehab plan.

As above, you can cancel an appointment (with no charge) up until 24 hours before your appointment is due to begin. The appointment cost will automatically be refunded by Rehab Guru. Full details will be provided in your booking email.
